How Does CoolSculpting Work?
During your procedure, the CoolSculpting handpiece and a special gel pad will be applied to the treatment area and cryolipolysis will start. The cooling technology, delivered through the applicator, will begin to attack and paralyze the fat. You may experience minor tugging, pinching, or stinging sensations, but these are completely normal and will subside as the area becomes numb. Since the CoolSculpting procedure is nonsurgical, you will be able to return to your daily activities after the procedure. What to Expect Following CoolSculpting
Since CoolSculpting is noninvasive, you will be able to return to your normal activities after treatment. In most cases, patients can return to work or school immediately following the procedure. How does CoolSculpting work?
CoolSculpting works by using a controlled temperature to destroy fat cells in selected body parts for treatment. Essentially, it freezes the fat cells while they die. The cells are then broken down by your body and released through natural bodily functions.
Is CoolSculpting safe?
CoolSculpting is a noninvasive, external procedure where the apparatus is applied simply to your skin’s surface. With this therapy, there's absolutely no need for a healing period. You may experience some slight redness and swelling immediately following treatment, but that usually subsides in approximately one week.
How many CoolSculpting sessions will I need?
The number of sessions needed to reach your desired results will be decided during your consultation. For many patients, only one treatment is enough, but others might require more treatment sessions dependent on the amount of fat being treated. The amount of sessions is dependent on your aesthetic goals and if there are larger layers of fat in target areas.
